Let’s Talk Black Fatigue Afternoon Online Seminar

ONLINE AFTERNOON SEMINAR

Information

27 August 2020 | 14h00-16h00 (SA Time)
Afternoon Online Seminar

We’re very proud to be hosting an afternoon seminar with Mary-Frances Winters, CEO and Founder of the Winters Group Inc. In this two-hour session she will deliver a thought-provoking presentation based on her upcoming book “Black Fatigue: How Racism Erodes the Mind, Body and Spirit”.

She’ll explore why we can no longer dismiss or minimise the intergenerational pain and anguish of racial inequalities. She’ll also unpack the physiological and psychological impact of racism and offer key take-aways that can be readily applied to help dismantle racist systems.

In this conversation, you’ll learn:

  • What Black Fatigue is and how it affects Black communities
  • How Black Fatigue manifests in the workplace
  • How to talk about and tend to Black Fatigue at work
  • The difference between non-racism and anti-racism
  • How to become an active anti-racist
  • The responsibilities that companies and organisations play in dismantling oppression in their workplaces and in the world.
