Employee Experience Conference

How can you build a better employee experience?

INFORMATION

15 August 2018
Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel, Sandton | Johannesburg

A great workplace experience is vital for effective workforce management and long-term success. A new research study from IBM’s Smarter Workforce Institute and Globoforce’s Work Human Research Institute explores what it means to “Work Human”. The resulting Index reveals which workplace components are critical to fostering a positive work experience and long-term success (the study is based on data gathered from more than 23,000 employees in 45 countries). The IBM and Globoforce Employee Experience Index highlights that a positive work experience is dependent on the following 5 factors:

  • Belonging – feeling part of a team, group or organisation
  • Purpose – understanding why one’s work matters
  • Achievement – a sense of accomplishment in the work that is done
  • Happiness – the pleasant feeling arising in and around work
  • Vigor – the presence of energy, enthusiasm and excitement at work
The study highlighted that positive employee experiences are undoubtedly linked to better performance, extra effort at work, and lower turnover intentions.

As the battle for top talent continuous, it has become vital to ensure employees are brand advocates that believe in the company’s values and are placed in the right roles and environment to enable their success.

KR’s 2018 Employee Experience Conference presents a unique opportunity to stay well-informed and up to date on the trends, challenges and strategies in employee experience with the objective of effectively engaging the workforce. Our expert line-up of speakers will share their insights through case-studies and research which will give you all the right tools and information you need to get the maximum potential from your employees.

At this conference we will look at creating a compelling employee experience to help generate higher engagement, satisfaction, and strategic alignment to drive brand differentiation, customer service excellence, and growth.

SETA grants and accreditation requirements
Many of our delegates enquire about the accreditation of our events. There is a misconception that organisations qualify for SETA grants only for accredited programmes. This is not correct. The payment of SETA grants is regulated by the Government Gazette, no. 9867, Vol. 570, 3 December 2012, no. 35940. These Regulations clearly state that the SETAs “must allocate a mandatory grant to a levy paying employer” that has submitted a WSP and ATR by the regulated date, has provided all the information required in the regulated template, and is up to date with skills levy payments. Furthermore, the template in the Regulations (Section C: Skills Development) allows employers to include ALL planned training in the report; not only accredited programmes.
