Fintech Seminar 2018

Bridging the financial divide through seamless outcomes-based solutions

23 May 2018
Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel, Sandton

As the world of financial technology (fintech) continues to boom on both domestic and international soil, keeping up with the steady influx of innovation and disruptive thought leadership is a challenge.

According to the PwC Global FinTech Survey, financial services industry respondents fear that they might lose a quarter of their business or more to standalone Fintech companies within five years. FinTech companies, in turn, anticipate they could capture 33% of traditional financial services players’ business in the same time frame.

As one of the first gatherings on this topic on the continent, the Knowledge Resources Fintech conference aims to bring together innovators, investors and leaders in the disruptive industry, including those dedicated to banking, investment platforms, insurance, big data, retail, mobile, marketing and payments. The conference boasts highly regarded industry leaders as keynote presenters to share invaluable insights into the fintech movement and a wide variety of topical discussions to pique just about anyone’s interest.

Don’t miss this opportunity to get strategically connected with what’s new, what’s working and who’s making it all happen in Fintech.

SETA grants and accreditation requirements
Many of our delegates enquire about the accreditation of our events. There is a misconception that organisations qualify for SETA grants only for accredited programmes. This is not correct. The payment of SETA grants is regulated by the Government Gazette, no. 9867, Vol. 570, 3 December 2012, no. 35940. These Regulations clearly state that the SETAs “must allocate a mandatory grant to a levy paying employer” that has submitted a WSP and ATR by the regulated date, has provided all the information required in the regulated template, and is up to date with skills levy payments. Furthermore, the template in the Regulations (Section C: Skills Development) allows employers to include ALL planned training in the report; not only accredited programmes.
