Marketing to Millennials

Mastering engagement with the largest and most influential generation of consumers

INFORMATION

19 October 2017
The River Club Conference Centre | Liesbeek Parkway, Observatory | Cape Town

Millennials have new and different expectations from brands. This is because they are unique and not the same like the generations that came before them - they require a different marketing approach. They want to see and feel the human connection in your advertisements; they demand authentic advertising and brand communication.

It is crucial for marketers to make sense of what the millennial mindset is in order to talk to them in a way that is appropriate and effective. Brands are now changing their marketing strategies to cater for the needs of the millennial market, which is becoming the biggest spending population in South Africa.

Brand authenticity speaks volumes. Brands that tell genuine stories resonate with people. Authenticity can inspire trust, and trust can drive sales. Brands that are using this marketing approach are able to:

  • Realise the ROI from this type of marketing approach
  • Be elevated above their competition
  • Get customer loyalty
  • Engage their customers
  • Be seen as a reliable and trustworthy brand

Learn more about engaging the millennial market at the Marketing to Millennials Seminar to be held the 19th October 2017 in Cape Town.

SETA grants and accreditation requirements
Many of our delegates enquire about the accreditation of our events. There is a misconception that organisations qualify for SETA grants only for accredited programmes. This is not correct. The payment of SETA grants is regulated by the Government Gazette, no. 9867, Vol. 570, 3 December 2012, no. 35940. These Regulations clearly state that the SETAs “must allocate a mandatory grant to a levy paying employer” that has submitted a WSP and ATR by the regulated date, has provided all the information required in the regulated template, and is up to date with skills levy payments. Furthermore, the template in the Regulations (Section C: Skills Development) allows employers to include ALL planned training in the report; not only accredited programmes.
